Railcore II 300 ZLT Yoke Alignment Tool To Align Linear Rails, Lead Screws, & Steppers

Description

There is a version of a tool to do this job on the 300ZL, but I did not find one to work with the ZLT. The ZLT has bearing carriers and bearings that support the lead screw, so the tool needs to be different. Once the bearing carriers and the motor are mounted, you cannot remove the coupler or the bearing carrier to get directly to the motor shaft. This allows you to drop the tool through the bearing in the carrier and into the coupler. Then you can use this to line up the with the yoke. This will not likely print out the exact size for everyone because of printers and differences in print precision etc. The best thing to do is print one, measure it, then adjust your X and Y size in the slicer to get one to come out close. I also recommend going a hair large and spinning it in a drill and using a large finger nail file to sand out the slight exterior print imperfections just slight to a perfect fit. Or, if you have a lathe you can use that, but that should not really be necessary because then you could just make a metal one. I printed this on a raft because the part of the cylinder for the first couple mm at the heated bed will end up slightly larger than the rest if you don't. This should let you follow a similar alignment method as found in this video. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CNWzMLc5-Cg&t=1022s Thanks Tony!
