Mechanical Flower (Jewelry Box)
Description
This is a fully 3d printed mechanical jewelry box, made to hold an opal necklace pendant. Printed on an Anet A8 printer with a combination of clear and black PETG filament. It has a switch that will recognize when the lid is open and change the light function with an arduino uno. The lights used are 5050 RGBW neopixels. The movement of the flower is fully mechanical and does not require the microcontroller, lights, or power to work. In my opinion, it still looks very presentable. If the electrical and soldering seems a bit advanced I would suggest the mechanics only. This was assembled with use of various M2 and M3 screws, along with small magnets used to assist the lid when open or closed (optional) https://youtu.be/qFUZIicuhYg I will update with more information soon.
