Lidl glider 2205 motor mount

Lidl glider 2205 motor mount

Description

This is very simple motor mount that I created in short breaks at my work. How it should work? By it's design it uses M3 screws only - 4 for the motor itself and other two to go into the foam. The idea was to recess nylon M3 standoffs into the foam and use CA glue to glue them in place. Then motor mount itself should be screwed into them. There is also cable channel on one side to connect it to the ESC. It has 4mm bottom for all those quad guys who would like to use very same screws to mount motor that are in most cases supplied with the motors themselves. It was designed using Tinkercad and Emax 2205 motor for the holes references and dimensions. CHANGELOG: v1.0 - screws have been set to an angle 5* pointing down, making aircraft less likely to do a roll with powerful motors - added a cutting template v0.4 - increased gap between the rotor and mount for better motor cooling v0.3 - two mounting screw head holes recessed so the plate is 3mm - used sphere instead of other primitive in order to get better shape - enlarged cable hole v0.2 - base modified to 5mm as some motor screws were hiting the motor winding v0.1 - initial version
