Raspbbery Pi 3 - Enclosure remix with top mount for fan
Description
**NOTE: This remix only contains the modified top part, for rest of part see the [original enclosure](https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:2407893) !** ** Not compatible with Raspberry Pi 4, it has a different port layout!** I had printed the excellent [Raspberry Pi enclosure](https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:2407893) by [msonst](https://www.thingiverse.com/msonst/about) but struggled with high CPU temperatures. My Pi was sitting around 60°C (140°F) at idle with a heatsink - a bit too much for running it in a 24/7 environment. So I remixed the original design by extending the top a bit higher and added a place for a 40x40x10mm fan and side exhaust ventilation holes. **The new design with fan and existing heatsink dropped the temperature down from 60°C to 32°C - almost in half!** The design supports heatsinks. Before the fan arrived tested out with just passively cooled with the extended top and noticed a temp drop to 45°C. So I would even recommend using my design to increase the lifespan of the Raspberry Pi, especially if in a NAS setup it's run 24/7. Under [cpu stress test](https://core-electronics.com.au/tutorials/stress-testing-your-raspberry-pi.html) with the fan and heatsink the Pi reached the max temp of 48.3°C. I ended up buying a [Noctua NF-A4x10 5V fan (non-pwn version)](https://www.ebay.com/itm/332636386937?_sp=p2488211.m41214.l9765&_trkparms=itemid%3A332636386937) (expensive option, but delivers amazing airflow at a low noise level) Opersourced Fusion360 project: https://a360.co/2I1oG7j
