Toilet Stall Latch Reciever

Toilet Stall Latch Reciever

Description

The perils of a High School bathroom. Somehow, despite the fact that the parts are ***physically screwed on to a piece of metal***, the ability of a student in a restroom to cause damage cannot be underestimated, and parts go missing. Somehow. This part is intended to solve one of the issues caused by allowing students in a 2 mile radius of school property, because nobody else would solve it themselves. This intends to replace the receiving end of a toilet stall latch, giving the part two purposes: A. Ensure that the bathroom stall door cannot swing further out than 90 degrees B. Act as a receiver for the door's bolt to latch into so the door does not open while locked. A is accomplished by the large block sticking out of the side, preventing the door from opening too far. B is accomplished by the circular cutout on the inside of the part. With this, you should be able to easily attach this to a damaged bathroom stall that uses a circular bolt. 4 holes are available, two on either side, to screw it to the outer stall wall. The prototype in the photos is made of 3D printed ABS, but if this is going to act as a long-term solution, I suggest milling it or producing it out of stronger material. It's simple, it's functional, it gets the job done. Who knew 3D printed plastic would serve our bathroom stall repair needs?
