Replica Piper Heat Duct Knob (66980-00)
Description
This is a replica of the knobs used in Piper Cherokee aircraft for the Cabin Heat and Defroster control levers, the heat duct levers, and for the alternate air control on fuel-injected engines. The final printed result turned out to be slightly wider at the base than the original. The fit is very good. The round hole should be tapped for #8-32 threads, and a #8-32 set screw should be used. I recommend set screws that are 1/4" long with a cup point. (I used set screws that were 3/16" long with a cone point. They worked fine, but 1/4" would probably be better. The original screws had a cup point, so that should work better.) If you have the original set screws from your old cracked knobs, you can just re-use those.
