SLS - Orion, Service Module, ICPS - Modifications and Stand
Description
First of I have to appreciate the work of [Terefenko](https://www.thingiverse.com/Terefenko/about). The [Nasa Orion model](https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:2769143) and the [Interior of the European Service Module](https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:2789626) was such a pleasure to print and to assemble. I did some modification and extensions for the model, which I would like to share. # Stand I designed a stand, which snaps between the ICPS and ESM. Support the rod of the stand with a M3 rod and glue the rod to the bracket. I mounted the stand on an IKEA APTITLIG board. # ESM Solar Array Lock The fitting of the original solar array lock from Terefenko is quite loose. I made my own lock, which is tigher. # ICPS/ESM Lock The pressfetting lock between the ICPS and ESM strucutre didn't hold together on my print. I designed small bracket, which I glued to the ESM structure. # ESM Hydrazine Tanks Instead of printing the ESM Hydrazine tanks in two half spheres, I merged them to one piece with an internal brim, which you can remove after printing. # ESM/Capsule Connection I added an additional second magnet to hold the capsule to the ESM. # ESM Interior Access To access the ESM interior I cut the ESM avionic bottom ring into two halfs. One ring is glued to the ESM structure and the other half is glued to "window" which can be pulled out. This allows the removed of the ESM interior and access to the solar array lock.
