Vipertek VTS-880-30 Stun Gun 1" Belt Holster

Vipertek VTS-880-30 Stun Gun 1" Belt Holster

Description

This holster fits a 1" belt and hold a Vipertek VTS-880-30 stun gun which is a $10 stun gun. It features 2 retention tabs. You can add elastic or para cord around the retention tabs if you need more retention but mine holds well just from friction. The stun gun sits low enough that main button is covered so you can't accidentally push is while holstered, yet the on/light/off safety switch is exposed so it can be readied discretely with it still in the holster. The bottom of the holster is completely enclosed so even if somehow the button did get pressed, it would not shock you. I printed it with the belt loop facing up, meaning it needs support material. This allows the layer lines to be oriented such that the retention tabs are not flexing "with the grain", making it strongest. It should print fine vertically too, only needing support material inside the belt loop. Be careful when removing the support material as the interior retention tabs may break off (although this is not a big deal since it holds well with just friction. NOTE: do not carry a stun gun where not legal. I also do not advise carrying a stun gun at all because they are very ineffective. Firstly, if your attacker is close enough that you are able to use a stun gun, you are already in a whole world of problems. Second, the spark gap is 5mm and the ionization voltage of air is 3 kV/mm. So it's only getting to 15 kV before it arcs, despite claiming 30 million or billion volts. The stun gun claims holding it on a person for 1 seconds causes pain, 2 seconds causes muscle contractions, and 3 seconds causes someone to fall down. I don't think it is really a viable defense tool if you have to hold it on someone for a full 3 seconds. It is more the sound it makes that is a deterrent, but use this holster I have made at your discretion.
