Improved wheel for Automower 450X
Description
We love our Automower 450X. It has been doing great work for a few years. However the wheels have never been great, they easily slip on wet or loose ground and have very little tread. These are designed to replace them and are,so far, working well. They are designed not to stress or shake the gearboxes too much but please keep in mind they could increase loading and so will void any warranty (which given how good Husky are with their warranties, I would keep your machine stock until after it has expired). The thin wedge centre is gives the robot a ridge to run on, so that it is smooth until the going gets soft or rough, when the treads start to bite. The blocks are designed not to be too aggressive, so they don't overload anything and give when the should. We printed and are using standard PLA (probably Ziro as it is what we use most) although there is a good argument for using a semi flex. I don't like using support but a bit is needed in the middle. Obviously you need a good size printer as they are about 250mm diameter. The hub is just to keep the axel nuts clean, it has a small cutout so that you can pry it out with a screwdriver. The H is there just to show if the wheels are turning and to locate the pry cutout. It is also the starting letter of Husqvarna and Hagen Automation but their copyright is theirs and ours is ours and this H is neither! We produce lubricants specifically for 3D printers - check out HagenAutomation.com Silicone oil for rollers [https://www.amazon.co.uk/Silicone-printers-desktop-robot-arms/dp/B07F7G3QNS] PTFE grease for Z axis screws [https://www.amazon.co.uk/printer-industrial-lithium-lubricant-nozzle/dp/B07D5J58TT] We are a UK based company that specialises in industrial robotics and affordable automation solutions
