H-Rail Quick Mount with Sony SRS-XB12 mount.
Description
Here is a H-Rail mount system for small light weight items that only require the 1" ball size. It also includes a 1" Ball mount for the Sony SRS-XB12/XB10 Bluetooth speaker. The H-Rail mount has been made to clip on and ratchet around the 12 points of the rail. Once it has been zip/cable tied on in the provided 8mm grooves, it can not leave the rail. The Sony mount has been designed so that some heat is to be applied via heat gun or lighter etc to bend the 'fingers' in to create tension and hold the speaker better. The Sony mount and the rail mount both make use of a 6.3mm x 30mm reinforcement rod which is inserted inside the ball shaft. If that diameter rod is not available, any cut down bolt could be used. The rod is to be glued into place. I use a 2-part epoxy. The M6 wing nut has an enclosed nut that is inserted mid print. If printing at 0.2mm resolution (recommended) then you will need to pause the print at layer 86. (I can provide a 'Pause' post script for S3D if you require one). Place the M6 nut on the bed prior to inserting so as to get it up to temp which will result in a better layer above the nut. If you do not wish to use this printed wing nut, any M6 sized wing nut will suffice. ** NOTE** Please remove supports from the shaft holes in the SOny mount and the H-Rail mount as they are not needed and could make removal and insertion of the rods extremely difficult. The final model for the Sony mount has the window for the play buttons moved forward 2.5mm so as to better fit the speaker. The photos show the older, unedited model. Required hardware for the parts are as follows; 2x 6.3mm x 30mm rods (For Sony and H-Rail mount reinforcement) 1x M6 40mm Stainless Steel Hex bolt (For arms) 1x M6 Stainless Steel nut (For wing nut) If you download this, please give it a like! :)
