Little Lame Lamp Designs

Little Lame Lamp Designs

Description

A simple little LED, capacitive sensor light that can be dimmed and brightened by sliding your finger along the bottom of the lamp. It was a random musing and trial that I had with product design. Being an engineer, you do not have any opportunities to play around with making a product from conception to completion, thus I created this simple lamp that now lights up my desk in my apartment. The print was done on a Lulzbot with layer heights of 0.1mm for highest resolution and minimum finishing. That being said, it was sanded, primed and painted with metallic paint. The tubing is hollow and made up of several parts. It has the potential to be modified and outfitted with any sort of touch control or even pre-programmed LED lighting. Controls are done using an Arduino Nano and powered by the mains.
