$100 Motorized Camera Slider
Description

v2 Build coming very soon! I'm prototyping now! If you're interested in testing it please feel free to reach out!
This was made as just a fun project! I wanted a camera slider that was quite long, however the prebuilt professional ones were quite expensive, hence this! The slider uses conduit and some 3D printed parts as well as a motor and motor controller from Amazon (listed below). If you happen to make this, please let me know! I'm looking for suggestions/improvements for future renditions. Special Credit to JayMake as their belt clamps were adapted in this (https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:2523813) Printed Parts: 1x Right Side 1x Left Side 1x Sled Optional- 1x Top cover 2x - Connectors if you're connecting EMT together Non Printed Parts Used: Motor (12V/100RPM) - https://amzn.to/2WEYGZw PWM Speed Control - https://amzn.to/2KQ1Ken Power Supply - https://amzn.to/2XfKndt Motor Pulley - https://amzn.to/2Kj4v8s GT2 Belt - https://amzn.to/2FbKegO Conduit - This is what I used, since my local Home Depot had it in stock, but any 1/2 in EMT will do. I would recommend getting metal tubing over plastic however. -https://thd.co/2RdWP88 Idler Pulleys - https://amzn.to/2IG8rwM Hot glue and Glue gun You will also need M3 Screws for the electronics and a few #6 screws if you want to print and attach the roof. Optional Stuff Anet endstops - https://amzn.to/2KicHWE Screw Assortment* - https://amzn.to/2ZpaJqM Expanding foam glue - https://amzn.to/2X88RW4 *These are used for the electronics, the optional roof and pipe extensions are designed to be used with #6 screws and bolts (sorry, thats what I had on hand :/ ) **The length of these parts can vary depending on how long you want your slider to be! **PLANNED IMPROVEMENTS** - Fix overhang issues on left & right sides - redesigned slim right housing - PWM controller mount under rails - Add cooling if needed - fix overhang on countersinks on sled facing. - Convert to M3 screws **---CHANGE LOG---**
