DIN rail stand (heavy duty)

DIN rail stand (heavy duty)

Description

There are some clever designs for DIN rail (35mm) stands around but none of these seems to be able to bear a range of heavy devices without falling over or starting to wobble at the slightest touch. So here's my attempt. It's supposed to fit 35x15 (huschiha_3.stl and huschiha_7.stl) and 35x7,5 (huschiha_4.stl and huschiha_8.stl) DIN rails but I strongly recommend using the thicker rails if you plan using a long piece (>300mm) like in my pictures. There's almost no wobble with the 35x15 rails. Optionally you can install 2 further DIN-rails just to increase it's resistance against torsional forces. The rails can and should be fixed with coarse-thread screws. I used M3,5x14 which fit pretty good. edit: When attaching rubber feet, there's a chance of tipping over the Din-rail-stand which is why I've added another version (7 & 8; the white one in the pictures) with a different angle to improve standability. editedit: I changed the design for version 7 & 8 to prevent the rail from slipping in the opening. The version 3 & 4 was thin enough to build up just enough pressure with a screw but the enhanced version is too thick at the top-rail position therefore I added some kind of spring.
