Test Dial Indicator Holder for IKO Linear Rail 3/8" diameter

Description

For attaching a 3/8" (9.52mm) diameter plunger style Test Dial Indicator to 12mm width IKO linear rails LWL12B on my cetus mk2. Handy to measure and fix printer axis problems. For example bad belts, eccentric toothed pulleys, homing limit switch problems etc. I designed this for minimum clearance from the back of my Mitutoyo dial gauge to the linear rail. This results in silly accurate 0.001 mm measurements, however, the size of my gauge probably differs from other dial gauge brands. Teflon plumbing tape can be used for a smoother thread clamping action. I used this to measure the sensing accuracy of an LJ12A3-Z/BX inductive sensor for axis homing. Moving the linear bearing block past the inductive sensor has a trigger accuracy of 2 or 3 microns provided you trip the sensor slowly like 0.05 mm/second. Honestly this is only important for the Z axis and bed level probing when you print layers under 0.05 mm without using a raft. -Peter
