I3-Mk3 Bear Y-Belt Holder
Description
This is a modified Y-belt holder for the I3-Mk3 Bear upgrade . If you found this design very helpful or otherwise wish to buy me a cup of coffee ( helps keeping the brain active so i can create new stuff ) ;-) ,then please consider using this link : <a href="https://www.buymeacoffee.com/Mb1vZjXUG" target="_blank"><img src="https://bmc-cdn.nyc3.digitaloceanspaces.com/BMC-button-images/custom_images/black_img.png" alt="Buy Me A Coffee" style="height: auto !important;width: auto !important;" ></a> You can find other versions of these holders here on Thingiverse ,but i decided to make my own by taking the good parts from the new original Prusa adjustable y-belt holder and RH_Dreambox who had made his holder to work with K_lab https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:3550615 Y-motor mount ,which uses the motor mount as an endstop (see picture and note that it has a protruding bar ) instead of using one of the heatbed bearings as an endstop . My version uses 2 x m3 10mm hex socket bolts to fasten the belt ends just like the one from Prusa ,this does that it is impossible to pull out the belt ends no matter how hard you tighten the belt. I have just assembled my Bear upgrade and tested this new Y-belt holder as an endstop with the two above mentioned mods and it worked flawlessly , very nice to see that the heatbed now no longer is being skewed when homing :-) . Note : This Bear y-belt holder works in conjunction with the above mentioned Bear y-motor mount K-lab https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:3550615 and the Bear adjustable y-belt tensioner from RH_Dreambox https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:3502543 You need 2x m3 10mm hex socket bolts and 2x m3 hex nuts
