Miniature Trampoline [Functional] [Dual Material]

Miniature Trampoline [Functional] [Dual Material]

Description

This is a proof-of-concept that I designed, but never had the ability to print. I came up with the idea because I wanted to use two different materials in a single print using a dual-nozzle printer. Unfortunately, when I attempted to print this I had major stringing issues with ninjaflex and as I printed the layers of PLA were getting ruined with leaking from the other nozzle. The bouncy fabric is meant to be printed out of ninjaflex, while the frame is meant to be printed with a rigid material like PLA or ABS. It is a print-in-place part, so no assembly is required. No supports are required either. Just import both parts into your slicer & they should line up with one another by default. I printed test samples of the bouncy fabric to find the optimal thickness, and I found 0.6mm to have the best bounce while retaining strength. Two layers for the bouncy fabric works just fine. Try your luck, and hopefully someone more skilled than me can get this printed!
