Interatomic Bonds Tactile Model
Description
This is a tactile model to help teachers to teach the principles of ionic and covalent bonds. This is not available to teach metallic bonds. In order to use the device it is necessary to employ rubber strings and a perforated wood sheet for tools (43.5 x 26.5 mm and 4.0 mm hole). This assistive technology was developed by the Research and Development Group of Assistive Technology of the Federal University of São Carlos (NTA / UFSCar / Sorocaba), Brazil. The research group thanks the National Council for Scientific and Technological Development (CNPq) for the funding of the Vertátil Project (Process No. 442261 / 2016-0), the research collaborators and the State Education Network of Sorocaba.
