Telescope filter (1.25") to 52mm filter ring adapter

Telescope filter (1.25") to 52mm filter ring adapter

Description

This is an adapter, after the failure to be able to use a clip in filter (https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:3695976) I made, for H-alpha and other narrowband filters. To put it on the other end. It is not threaded, and I had a 52mm filter that broke which I mounted it in. If you carefully screw a filter in the first time it will act as it's own tap, and subsequent filters will screw in easily. It works for my 55-200, and a 50mm and a 28mm, with a astro-modified/full spectrum D5300. Note that some lenses like the 50mm will not reach focus with longer wavelength reds like H-alpha, but can work with shorter ones like OIII. It's an older one, so newer ones may work better, but the 55-200 has some issues using it as as well (being slightly outside easily human visible, Halpha likely wasn't a priority.) The images were taken with a 55-200mm at f/4¹ and a 28mm f/2.8¹ on a tracking (only, not aligned) OnStep mount, stacked with Siril and with some level adjustment via Gimp and exported as jpeg. You can use this item to do the exact same thing: https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:1033336 . ¹As this reduces the aperture, it's likely that these were more like f/8 and f/6, but that's the camera setting.
