Flashforge Finder Slide Door Bracket
Description
++ UPDATE ++ I have also added long bracket size for the side panels as these do not move so just adding a long top and bottom to keep in place. To total newcomer to 3d printing obviously i read loads and a common thread was keeping the temperature at a constant around the print to avoid warping and lifting etc etc. plus the printer i couldnt really justify buying with no knowledge or even knowing if i would like the whole 3d printing process came with a nice door :) So to test if enclosing my finders with thin perspex i raided out of some old 12" frame if they made a difference to the print or not i have decided 100% yes it does. So i ordered some sheets 330mm x 300mm x 3mm from http://www.perspexsheet.uk/perspex-clear/ if you are in the UK. Cost me £20ish with p+p Rather than use the velcro sticky dots i decided to make some little bracket type things for the glass to slide to the side, whilst staying put so it doesn't get scratched. As i have 2 finders side by side one slides to the left and the other to the right as i have clearance. Not a ground breaking design i know but it does work and looks kinda nice. I went for a nice blue to match the Flashforge text on the build plate lol. I left the protective blue sheet on to better photograph the sheet in place.
