Enclosure Case for Sunfounder Acrylic Case Compatible with Arduino Mega 2560
Description
Last Updated 09Sep19 - Added a "standalone" version for the bottom-half wish doesn't require a Sunfounder Acrylic case. The file is called "Mega 2560 Standalone Case - bottom.stl" - Need M3x5 screws to mount the Mega 2560 to the bottom-base. Note: If you're not using any shields, just the Mega 2560, there is space to mount a "400 tie point mini solderless breadboard" on the inside of the top-half of the case to help you with your projects. ------------------- Although the Sunfounder acrylic case is a high-quality, presentable, acrylic-case, like the one found on this Amazon link: https://www.amazon.com/SunFounder-Enclosure-Transparent-Computer-Compatible/dp/B00HNMZ2L0/ref=sr_1_3?keywords=sunfounder+acrylic+arduino+mega+2560&qid=1562329050&s=gateway&sr=8-3 , I needed something a bit more, but I didn't want to build a new stand-alone case from scratch, throwing out this nice, acrylic one, so I decided to design a new case around the Sunfounder acrylic case, resulting in me keeping the high-quality, acrylic one, as well as this extended one. The design of this case was meant to be compatible with a SunFounder UNO R3 + Ethernet Shield W5100, as well as, various projects that require a configuration which utilizes generic wireless module(s) for remote control, which is why the case is not airtight and feels a bit "open." Note: You need 4, M4x8 screws, to connect the outside casing to the base, as well as, 2, M3x8, to connect the acrylic case, to the base. I chose to use rubber feet, such as: https://www.amazon.com/SunFounder-Enclosure-Transparent-Computer-Compatible/dp/B00HNMZ2L0/ref=sr_1_3?keywords=sunfounder+acrylic+arduino+mega+2560&qid=1562329050&s=gateway&sr=8-3 To make things clear, I am not endorsed by any company. Other Notes: Feel free to expand on the idea of this design, customizing it, hopefully making it better (or not), but please notice the license that I used for this design. Only to be used for your personal projects and not for commercial gain, even if you have improved (or not) upon it. If you want to use this design/designs based on this design, etc. for commercial gain, please contact me first. Tips are greatly appreciated :-)
