This is the cheapest floater for your action cam you will ever find. Yep... its just a cap that screws to a plastic bottle*. Secure your cam and you are good to go. ** suitable for 0.5l, 1l, 1.25l, 2l, etc. plastic bottles, and even with that ... Ikea`s TOMAT Spray bottle cola/Fanta/sprite/ etc. What will i need to got that floater: * 3d printer/or someone with this wonder thing/ * download the stl. file * slicer * action cam case with the bolt * a screw nut suitable with the bolt of your action cam /usually most action cams has the same bolts/ * EMPTY plastic bottle, or Ikea`s TOMAT Spray bottle Features: * pocket size. * fast to print. * little material usage * easy to replace * suitable with most known action cams * additional grip to easy screw/unscrew * Your action cam attached to the plastic bottle can be used as defend/attack weapon in case of shark attack or at least you can video record this epic final moments of your lifespan Cons: * you will still need a bottle that floats * easy to lose your camera if you swim/dive in/ plastic sea or ocean * A shark can eat it with your hand IMPORTANT: BEFORE YOU GO TO THE DEEP WITH THE FLOATER YOU JUST ASSEMBLED TEST IT IN SHALLOW WATER * DO NOT OVER TIGHT the “ActionSodaCap” TO THE BOTTLE/the cap can split, if you don’t have good layer adhesive / * if one bottle manages to keep your camera floating in salt water it doesn`t mean that it will manage to keep it floating in sweat water. * Test it every time you have to use it. * PLEASE RECYCLE the PLASTIC BOTTLES after use, the world ocean is full of plastic anyway * DON’T DRINK AND D(r)IVE * Have Fun How to test it: 1. Get an empty plastic bottle, screw the ActionSodaCap to it/tight but not over tight it/ 2. Take a bucket or something big enough for the bottle and action camera to fit in, and fill it with water 3. Just put the action cam attached to the EMPTY bottle with ActionSodaCap 4. Watch the results Case 1: Is it floats? if “yes”- proceed with observation If “no” - just take a bigger EMPTY bottle. Case 2: Is the bottle start filling with water? If “yes” – you`re screwed, add little bit of silicone, hot glue for better sealing. If “no” proceed with observation Case 3: Is there any sharks in the bucket ? If “yes” – the assembly is good, but the bucket is broken. You are good to go. If “no” – go to swim…you are good to go.
