10/22 Takedown short (140mm) Foregrip

10/22 Takedown short (140mm) Foregrip

Description

So I really wanted to make a new stock for the Ruger takedown 10/22 I own. I got a little wrapped up in different designs and started with the foregrip. This is only a base for what I'll eventually make, as I got a little side tracked from the actual designs and made this for fun since I needed to get all the measurements just right anyway. I'm looking to really get into the design field eventually so this was a fun start to do on my own. Considering I also only have a printer that can do 140x140mm prints, I figured I'd make one that can be used for anyone that just wants to slap on a quick replacement for their stock. Fits super tight, and flush, relying on only the factory screw to hold (and it does very well). Sadly with the PLA I'm using (cheapest I could find) has an issue with the sling attachment, which does break if you, say, tie a 15lb weight and then dead drop it for integrity testing (I had hoped for a little more, but it'll if you don't intentionally try to break it like I do) , I'll eventually bulk that part up). Where it meets the OEM stock it does stick out about .5 mm at upper sides, so if you're a stickler like me, you can always trim that down a hair, I'll get to it on the next upload. However if you dont really care, and just want something to slap on that you can get a comfortable hand around, this is it. DISCLAIMER: I am not responsible for any damages done with or by this item. By downloading/using this item you take full and all responsibility for anything done or that may happen with or by any result of this product. I printed this on a QiDi X-One2 (which has a stupid small build plate) the final was done at 80% infill, you're welcome to do more, I wouldn't go under 50 personally .2 with a zigzag pattern, or whatever pattern your preference is really. I printed on a heated bed with 10mm brim (cause it's a long print time and I'm not risking it) No support. Tips are greatly appreciated, so please be generous if you are able (I can't stress that enough). I have marked this to not be reproduced or edited/remixed. If you would like anything changed or to do changes, please contact me. Please do comment and share your thoughts on this design!
