Oculus Touch Knuckle Cord Lock for Strap Slot
Description
As-is, I like how the touch controller grip feels and didn't want to disrupt it. So, I avoided the common "cup" 3d-printed design for the bottom tether point. Instead, I designed a cord "stopper" which locks into that slot where the OG safety strap comes mounted, just under the battery cover. It works great! Props to blkhawk for the nice clips I'm using on the Touch rings. The design was inspired partly by the Valve Index controllers' built-in stopper button. If you want to make this yourself, I used the cord and spring from the Nintendo Joy-Con Strap. You can buy Joy-Con straps for $8 apiece on Amazon, at a local games retailer, or if you have a switch, you can source from your existing straps. Removing the cord from the strap assembly is as simple as taking out a few small Phillips screws, but if you don't have the screwdriver, you can always just cut the cord with scissors as you'll need to cut it anyway. I wrapped the frayed ends tightly with scotch tape to help get them through all the holes. Using tweezers to pull them through can help.
