LED Light Fitting for Wanhao Duplicator i3 Mini/Cocoon Create Model Maker/Monoprice i3 Mini
Description
An LED light for your Wanhao Duplicator i3 Mini, Cocoon Create Model Maker or Monoprice MP Select Mini. There are two design options with the LED's either horizontally or vertically placed. Parts are disassembled for easy printing and will therefore need some assembly - just follow the instructions below. The shade cover is in a separate file and can be printed with transparent filament if required. INSTRUCTIONS 1. Print parts and start by attaching the LED to the lamp shade base using double sided tape - feed the LED wires through the opening in the arm before sticking it down. Do not shorten any wires before you are ready to solder them. 2. Insert the DC adapter (female) through the rectangular housing as well as the switch through the housing lid. 3. With all the components in place, superglue the housing to the arm as well as the shade to the shade base. (Alternatively turn the housing horizontally with the DC adapter showing backwards and glue it to the back of the lamp base). 4. Connect the black LED wire directly to the DC adapter and wire the red wire through the switch to the red adapter wire. 5. Solder all the wire and before closing the housing lid secure the light adapter to the printer using slightly longer than stock hex screws. Remove the top and bottom hex screws from the end of the Z-axis. 5. Use tiny screws to close and secure the housing lid in place. Connect the DC adapter and you're good to go. To avoid the LED's adding extra heat to the print, underpower them with any available 9V power supply instead of a 12V.
