Anet A6 A8 filament guide roller
Description
This filament guide with big roller prevent the filament to kink while it is guides over the printer with low friction. The filament can be added or removed through the opening at the top of the guide and can also be clamped here. The printed spring in the clamp ensures a tight fit and also makes it suitable for a little difference in thickness of the acrylic plate. Mine is about 7.7 mm thick. If printed correct, the end caps snap secure on the axles and the vertical bearing into the clamp. Three 608 ball bearings are needed to make this. I ordered cheap ones here: https://www.aliexpress.com/item/32858788270.html I removed the seals and washed them with degreaser to make them roll with less friction. Note: These cheap bearings from China have an inaccurate internal diameter of about 8.06 MM. That is about 0.08 MM bigger as the same type bearings made by SKF. The download contain the parts for both bearing types. The "bigger diameter" parts fits the cheap Chinese bearings. If necessary use the scaling function of your slicer to create a perfect fit. All parts except the end cap were printed with a 0.2 layer height setting 30% infill and PETG filament was used. Used wall thickness: clamp 1.6 guide 2 roller 1.2 axles 1.6 (bottom thickness 2 so the flange is fully solid) end caps 1.6 Print the end cap with a 0.15 layer height setting for more detail and It will slide smoother on the axle that is printed with a 0.2 layer height setting. Changed since July 30, 2019: -a wider clamp is added wich give more stability -the cutout in the guide is changed so that filament can be clamped more secure -the spacers were deleted and intergrated in the guide -the roller were changed so that the bearings are flush with the outside of the roller Changed since August 6, 2019: -the clamping force of the end caps is improved -the bearings fit better in the roller and a roller with support has been added Changed since August 21, 2019: -the axle and end cap diameters were adjusted because my extruder had some under flow -the end cap now have some room for a possible filament bulge printed on the end of the axle
