IR Blaster Holder for ITach Flex

IR Blaster Holder for ITach Flex

Description

IR Blaster holder for iTach Flex IR Blaster cable. There are a few versions of this cable, therefore make sure yours fits the pictures. There are 2 STLs so that you can print the one that works better for you: 1. Holder with Angle: this is the one that worked for me, given my bed rest has an angle and I needed the blaster to be pointing forward. 2. Holder Flat: this would be used by the majority of people, assuming the surface where you will place the blaster holder is flat. The bottom of both versions is carved out so you can embed 2 small (8 mm x 1 mm) magnets at the bottom (get them from Amazon here https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07C68VZ36/ref=as_li_ss_tl?ie=UTF8&psc=1&linkCode=sl1&tag=dmneo023-20&linkId=fa4da1fdf254581c24e64f3bc2894e54&language=en_US), that way the holder is fixed in place to the mounting surface. Make sure you do so only after inserting the IR Blaster into the holder all the way in, given that the magnets will block the entry point of the blaster once affixed. The magnets on the holder fit pretty snugly, but you can use a drop of super glue on each to secure them in place. If your surface is metallic, there is no need for any additional magnets at the receiving end, but if your surface is wood or plastic like mine, its a good idea to affix 2 receiving magnets on it (like on the picture) so that the embedded magnets will do their job. Please note I used an additional double sided tape to affix the receiving magnets to (also with super glue on the magnet side) so that I protected the wood surface of my bed, you might want to do the same.
