DSSS and OFDM Wi-Fi Signatures
Description
These are models of DSSS and OFDM signatures, which represent what Wi-Fi looks like on a spectrum analyzer such as a MetaGeek Wi-Spy or Ekahau Sidekick. They can be used as cool models, or for teaching tools. DSSS (Direct Sequence Spread Spectrum) is the signature made by data rates of 1, 2, 5.5, and 11 mbps. OFDM (Orthogonal Frequency Division Multiplexing) is the signature made by data rates of 6, 9, 12, 18, 24, 36, 48, and 54 mbps. A nearly identical shape is made by all 802.11n HT and 802.11ac VHT rates. Both of these signatures come from a MetaGeek Wi-Spy DBx and Chanalyzer 5.
