Gov.Mod. 2411-A3 CDF Officer's Sidearm
Description
This is my take on what a year 2411 Quin-centennial Model 1911-A1 redesigned for service in John Scalzi's "Old Man's War" Universe. I'm currently re-reading "The Old Man's War Series" by John Scalzi (which I definitely recommend to any sci-fi buffs out there). So I assigned this weapon to the Colonial Defense Forces (CDF) Officer's Corps. That way I am able to use his tech and I don't have to reinvent the wheel. However I do loosely explain how it makes energy. I don't think Mr. Scalzi ever mentions the use of sidearms. But, I'm assuming that a sidearm must exists for officers and the like. And since he didn't elaborate on their existance, I'm sniping the opportunity and offering the CDF Mod. 2411-A3 and my take on how the CDF would answer the need for a sidearm. Hope you like.
