Modular mini-sprinkler-system
Description
Modular Mini-sprinkler -------------------------------- -------------------------------- This sprinkler system is meant for small gardens, balconys and greenhouses. You can use different pipe sizes and shapes and drill the holes as you need them. The pipes have threads but I recommend to glue them to the base or you'll have a little dripping. It's an M22x3 thread if you want to design your own sprinkler pipes. Support ----------- For the base, I used tree support, so the thread has as little support in it as possible. Its quite easy to remove from the top. For the bottom of the thread you might wanna use a support blocker. Since you propably won't get rid of all of the support for the angular pipe, choose support pattern 'cross' (Cura), so enough water can flow around it. Print the pipes standing with the threads on top. Otherwise the threads may not be printed right. Infill ------ I used 60% Infill and it seems waterproof. Since you have to glue in the connector and the pipes anyway, it might be easier to use less infill an use something (e.g. epoxy resin) to make it waterproof. Connectors --------------- You can choose between a "Gardena"-connector and a 5/8" (15,87mm) connector. The base is 2mm in diameter if you want to make your own. The "Gardena"-connector was made by marcus16423 for this project: http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:2996712 The 5/8"-connector is a remix of xHubbyx's version for this project: http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:3684062 Feedback welcome!
