Belt Holder for Remington 597 Magazines
Description
Days out plinking with a 22 are made much more enjoyable when loaded magazines are easily available. The Remington 597 is a fine gun, but lacks the aftermarket gadgets of the Ruger 10/22. I have searched for a nice leather belt holder for a couple of 597 magazines, and, save for a custom order, have found none available. Instead, I have designed this. Like with my "Belt Shell Holder for 12 gauge & .223 Rem/9mm" (https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:3740717), I have used a portion of WaveSupportApparatus' belt loop from his "Comfortable Leatherman Wave belt holster" (https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:1065346). It's a nice design and hold my Leatherman well. Give it a look if you haven't already. Notes: 1. Always use a firearm responsibly (https://www.nssf.org/safety/rules-firearms-safety/). 2. It holds two 10-round magazines for the Remington 597. That's enough ammo to seriously perforate a soup can. 3. Fits a 1 3/4 inch (45mm) belt. 4. This holds my magazines to my liking, with a the slightest bit of spring tension. If you do a lot of mall ninja stunts while plinking with your 22 rifle, you might consider scaling it down a percent or two for more spring tension. Much further than that and the magazines won't fit.
