Thermoblade from Subnautica
Description
This is the glowing knife from Subnautica called Thermoblade. It is printed in 7 pieces to make it as perfect as possible. How I made it: Printed the knife body standing up with a raft [White PLA] Printed the blade part laying down [Clear PLA for LED. Red PLA if not] Printed the grip with support [Black PLA] Printed the left and right ring and CA glue them together [White PLA] Printed the left and right clear pieces and press fitted them on the other ring [Clear PLA for LED. RED if not] This knife can be printed to be either with LED or without. The leds used is 0805 SMD led's soldered to think wires. The whole circuit uses a ATTINY85 as a brain to get the breathing effect. This is very difficult as this is very tiny components and not that much space. But you can head over to my instagram /kjetilh4 and see the result there. If you just want the knife without the hazzle of adding LED's just print the clear parts with red PLA. I guess that will look really good too.
