Suppressor/Silencer for SSG24

Suppressor/Silencer for SSG24

Description

Hi, thanks for downloading my file!
I made this suppressor/silencer for my Novritsch SSG24, because the one Novritsch sold on his website was a bit too expensive for my taste.
How it's made
This silencer is made up of three easy-to-print parts, which screw into each other, and two spacers which you can simply slide into the body of the silencer to maintain the foam where you want it. ---- Please note that you will also need an M3x8 screw to attach the "Thread" part to the barrel of the SSG24 (screw it into the pre-drilled hole on the underside of the barrel). ---
How do you fill it?
Very simply! I bought a 10-pack of common household sponges, which I cut to the correct diameter. I also cut a ~15mm hole in the middle of each sponge to let the BB pass, obviously. Preferred materials are Acoustic Foam and Painting Foam Roll (Courtesy of the Unofficial SSG24 Owners Group) https://www.facebook.com/groups/354420481607501/permalink/840238309692380/
Is it any good?
Yes! My SSG24 is now super quiet from 10-15m (could be improved with better foam!). The only thing you hear is the whistle of the BB right before it hits you :) You can check the video I attached in this page, but my phone automatically adjusts the recorded sounds so they are on the same decibel levels --> In reality, the SSG24 is a lot quieter than what is shown in the video. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-jkJBpownv8
UPDATE 26/07/2019
New files added! You can now choose between three different barrels ("Body") and two End Caps (my design and a much more plain-looking one).
UPDATE 06/08/2020
New file added! The thread to attach the silencer to the SSG24 has now been updated with a V2 and should now hold a lot better than the previous one, as well as being smaller.
