DiY IoT wireless mouse trap with EnOcean
Description
based on a mouse in my house I made a modification to my mouse trap to realise an IoT device, which sends a message to the central gateway when the trap caught the mouse and gateway sends me a mail. So I can put the trap into any room and keep it there until the mouse is in. No need of daily inspection anymore. What i did? I took an energy harvesting device from EnOcean and its electronic board for radio transmission, the so called ECO 200 and PTM 330 (also PTM 335 or PTM 535). On activation (or click) the harvester harvests electric energy and puts it via the electronic board into an radio telegram into air. That indicates the switched action. The good thing: no wires, no batteries, no maintanence Well I have modelled these parts around the harvester to keep it in place and get it activated at setting up the trap and it will activate the harvester when trap is released by mouse. And this device can also be used as a door control or end point switch or anything which has to be monitored and provides two conditions (open and closed) You will need some super glue, a 3mm steel pin (or you print one) a small spiral spring (from an old pen or so) to get the lever pressed back and get the harvester back to start position. When you have printed the parts you will see what I mean. feel free to share your application
