Fence insulator for a small garden
Description
This is a simple design for electric insulators for a small garden. My neighbors on all sides feed squirrels. I like to keep a small vegetable garden and quickly found the squirrels want to sample or dig up everything I plant.I put up a small fence and the squirrels went right over the top. So I picked up a small electric fence charger and wire and made these to hold the wire. They fit on 1/2 inch pvc pipe and I used zip ties to hold them together. I did 3 levels, one at 3 inches one at 6 and one at 12 inches. That way squirrels can't get in the garden and it also keeps out raccoons and possums. The voltage and amperage is low so all it does is shock them so they learn to avoid the garden. I do have to keep it on or they quickly are back in it.
