Vortex Fan Duct for Anycubic 4Max Pro
Description
The 4Max Pro by Anycubic comes with a little spout that blows air from one side of the nozzle. That usually means stringing and sloppy overhangs when the filament leaves the nozzle on the opposite side. This new fan duct is designed to direct air in a vortex pattern around the nozzle's tip. This pattern allows for efficient delivery of air to the print from all sides. Instructions: - Make sure the round heat sink is flat against the carriage as shown in picture. - When print platform is in the Z-home position, measure the distance from the print platform to the bottom of X-axis carriage at the mounting point. Use the 22mm or 24mm design file that is closest to this measured distance. Scale Z-axis by +/- 4% in your slicer if necessary to create a print height that matches your measured distance. On a new 4Max Pro with factory installed nozzle, the distance is 22mm. - Print with slicer settings as suggested below. - Attach this fan duct onto carriage with two M3 x 18mm button or cap head screws. Suggested settings in Cura: - Infill Pattern = Gyroid - Support Type = Touch Build Plate - Support Density = about 10 - 15% - Support Pattern = Lines - Support Wall Line Count = 1 Updates: 2020-06-22 v5: more precise placement of air flow around the nozzle. 2020-04-14 v4: Moved the air pipes lower to prevent air flow from hitting the heat block. 2019-09-08 v3: I realized v2 was inadvertently mirrored when being exported. V3 should correct this error. Thanks to photo shared by @Marms. 2019-08-18 v2: Updated design and instructions to accommodate longer distance from nozzle to carriage.
