15.6 Inch LP156WH2 LCD Display Enclosure

Description

Hi there, This was my first ever design and I was quite happy on how it turned out. I've spent many hours working on this design, I hope it helps you out too! If you find it useful, consider hitting the "Tip Designer" button on my page :-) or paypal.me: https://paypal.me/nickbruinsma I had an old HP Pavilion dv6 laying around, which didn't boot anymore. With the screen still working, I thought I could turn it into a nice extra monitor! The HP Pavilion came with an LP156WH2 LCD Display. I bought the following control board for it on ebay: https://rover.ebay.com/rover/1/711-53200-19255-0/1?icep_id=114&ipn=icep&toolid=20004&campid=5338571699&mpre=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.ebay.com%2Fitm%2FController-Board-For-15-6-B156XW02-LP156WH2-1366x768-With-Remote-Durable-New%2F254187171129%3FssPageName%3DSTRK%253AMEBIDX%253AIT%26_trksid%3Dp2060353.m2749.l2649 I didn’t add extra holes for the control board (and the button board it came with), since A) It didn’t arrive yet when I started printing and designing (and didn’t knew it size yet) B) I didn’t know where to place them on the back yet. Once they arrived. I made some measurements and designed cases for it, I then glued them onto the back. Since my printer (Creality Ender 3) has a printing surface of 220 x 220 x 250 mm, I couldn’t print the whole thing in one go. Which is why the back plate and the front enclose are divided in six pieces each. That being said, I hope this can be of any help to you!
