Three Halflings in a Trenchcoat

Three Halflings in a Trenchcoat

Description

I recently found a Reddit thread with an idea for a 'Three Halflings in a Trenchcoat' fighter build that delighted me (https://www.reddit.com/r/DnD/comments/c6v3e6/oc_three_halflings_in_a_trenchcoat_v2_electric/?utm_medium=android_app&utm_source=share), so I built a character for an upcoming game. With the permission of the author, I added it to D&D Beyond (https://www.dndbeyond.com/subclasses/202599-three-halflings-in-a-trenchcoat), but then found that there wasn't a mini available. This is my rather crude attempt, but given that other people have probably found themselves in the same situation, I wanted to share it. The model itself was made on TinkerCAD, mixing three copies of a halfling paladin (https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:3061575 - edited to remove the greatsword) and adding a trenchcoat model (from SketchUp gallery, designed by Brian W) and multiple small swords. Given the nature of the character class, I have made two variants: one with the coat closed, concealing the true nature of this ungainly creature and one with the coat open, revealing the three armoured figures within, for once the truth comes out. In early prints, I found that the swords were too thin to print at this scale, so I have rather crudely thickened them into something that's more like a stave with a handle, but at least it will print most of the time. I have printed with support (tree style) and usually standing up. This is very much a work in progress and I'll aim to come back to it. I'd also welcome anybody who would like to remix or simply make a better version! Notes: - For some reason, when slicing to print, my printer tends to remove the end of one sword or the other (although not the same one each time). I'll try to refine the sword design when I can.
