Braun Satin Hair 7 replacement fan (epoxy glue fit)

Braun Satin Hair 7 replacement fan (epoxy glue fit)

Description

Added gaps for epoxy glue (compared to the original design). This ensures a proper connection to the shaft. I've used 5-minute-epoxy to glue the fan on the shaft: - as preprocessing step, try to grind the shaft of the electric motor a bit in axial (not radial!) direction using abrasive paper. - fill enough epoxy in the hole of the fan (try to avoid air bubbles inside) - then put the shaft in the hole Seems to be now a reasonably strong connection, even if my material (PET) is not very suitable for gluing with epoxy. The form fit still provides strength of the connection. Note: my first sample lasted exactly eight months of regular use and then disconnected again from the saft on 5th of April 2020. That's why I added the grinding advise above. Also note that UHU Hart is *not* recommended. With UHU Hart the fan got separated upon first usage. You need something stronger. Note: I now (7th of April 2020) tried out a customized press fit solution which you can find here: https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:4267043 -- but I don't have any long-term experience with the durability of the customized press fit connection.
