Flexible plate coupling

Flexible plate coupling

Description

Work in progress, stl-files will slowly be updated and uploaded! Thingiverse is super slow and seems to be unable to process things at this point in time will try again later. thingiverserse doesnt seem to swallow the stl files too wel... ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Flexible plate coupling designed to be 3d-printed and assembeled with m4 inbus bolts (din 912). printable in serveral modulair parts with OD 25 or 35mm. *(exception would be OD25 ID10mm due too lack of space) Flexible plate couplings can compesnate for several mis alignments in different configurations: one plate - Angular missalignment two plates - Angulair missalignment - Parallel missalignment other benefits are highly custamisable stiffness and near zero backlash. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ available sizes: (tbd) -> to be done / not yet uploaded x -> with or without flattend shaft, file is suffixed with "D" Blocks and clamps: OD 25mm -ID 5mm x -ID 6.35mm x -ID 8mm x -(tbd) ID 10mm -> OD will change to nearly 29 as the bolt heads will stickout unless you file them down, and has its own set of files due larger distance between bolts as to not interfere with the shaft. OD35 -(tbd) ID 5mm *with or without flattend shaft. -(tbd) ID 6.25mm *with or without flattend shaft. -(tbd) ID 8mm -(tbd) ID 10mm -(tbd) ID 12mm Flex plate: For the flexible plate in between its recomended to print as a multipleof 2 layers as to make it more uniform assuming a crossing patern with 0 and 90 degrees offset is being used. Let this be a multiple of 3 for a ofset 0, 60 and 120 degrees. Use thickness modifier to change to desired hight in your slicer. sugested thickness: layering with 0 and 90 degrees: nema 14: 18n*cm -> 0.4 mm nema 17: 65n*cm -> 0.8 mm nema 23: 300n*cm -> ??? mm *dont think this is viable yet layering with 0, 60 and 120 degrees: nema 14: 18n*cm -> 0.3 mm nema 17: 65n*cm -> 0.9 mm nema 23: 300n*cm -> ??? mm *dont think this is viable yet ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- FEM: with 60N*cm and a 0.8mm plate. Typical yield strength of PLA is suposedly around ~3.5 * 10^7 Pa After printing a small cleanup is required by removing some suport material ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Added the SLDPRT(2018) and a STEP(AP214) file. 2 files are in the original position, one has added custom suport and has been split and put flat on the bed.
