Modular Warship XVII - DnD
Description
This is a XVII-XVIII inspired warship that I modeled for one "pirate/sailor" dungeons and dragons games that I just started. The ship has also some 40k imperium related art, but its well integrated with the ship line. It is a modular ship that allow some kind of different ship configurations, so not all ship battles/encounters would be the same. Pictures of the printed ship are very welcome. This project is printable and usable as it is. It is "finished" but if anyone has a suggestion, please post a comment, I may consider doing modifications or additions. UPDATE 15/02/2020 -Version of the ship body and decks with grids have been added (_GRID). -Base with grid can now be assembled with magnets (5 mm diameter, 2 to 4 mm length). -If files are not available when downloading you can get them in this remix: https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:4172687 UPDATE 29/12/2019 -Alternative flat stern deck has been added (BARCO GRANDE CASTILLO POPA SUPERIOR V2) UPDATE 20/12/2019 -Cannons have been added -Sail masts without sails have been added. UPDATE 02/09/2019 -Masts, sails masts and ropes have been added. Once I paint it I will add some new pictures. Printing advice: - Print at 110%-120% for better scale match with 28 mm figures. - No supports needed for any part - It took almost a full 1kg pla spool (95%) to print everything at: · 0.4 mm nozzle · 0.8 mm shell /1.2 mm top and bottom shells · 24% infill · 60ºC heated bed · 0.2 mm layer height - Beware, some warping may appear on the larger parts (increasing heated bed from 50 to 55 almost solved it in my case, so I advise 60ºC). The use of an enclosure is recommended. - Main mast, Main top mast and front mast are printed vertically. Main mast and front mast need a raft. I printed them at 0.15 mm layer, low speed. - Sail masts are printed split in two parts and glued together. I printed them at 0.1 mm. Instructions: - The 3 base parts can be joined by using 6 M3 bolts or just glued one to each other. - If you decide to use the magnet version, you will need 12 magnets of 5 mm diameter and thickness between 2 and 4 mm. Glue them in the holes. Ensure you glue them with the proper orientation. - Other parts just fit on top. - For the mast you may need to sand the end that goes inside other parts. - The sail masts need to be glued together.
