Prusa MMU Mini Buffer - Skadis Edition
Description
Update Dec 2019: This buffer has inherent problems related to friction. The better alternative is: https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:4013669 This is a functional remix of steveps3 Prusa MMU Mini Buffer (https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:3810577) in combination with 3DED IKEA PEGBOARD SPOOL HOLDER WITH FILAMENT GUIDE (https://cults3d.com/en/3d-model/tool/ikea-pegboard-spool-holder-with-filament-guide). Attention: Tested it and in principle it does work, BUT friction is greatly enhanced and may or may not prevent loading/extruding of the filament. Personally, I retired the buffers as my personal expectation was an average of 1000 loads/unloads and 48 hours without intervention. I know steveps3 is working on a reiteration and I will adapt his solution to the SKADIS pegboard again. (22/08/2019) The remix allows a pretty small setup on an Ikea Skadis pegboard. In combination with a filament guiding Skadis helper it should even run more smoothly (see pictures, also still a prototype). If interested I will upload this one as well. Both parts are screwed together with a wood screw (I will check which one I used). Just make sure it is not eating into the PTFE tube. Check by sliding a piece of filament through it. If you feel an increase in friction the screw was probably to thick. My TORX screws did work properly. Depending on the angle you need you can have three buffers on one base plate. These base plates (due to the genious designer) are self attaching to the SKADIS peg board. Print time is something like 3.5 hours.
