Background ------------------- Reload quick and efficiently with this speed loader design for the Nerf Rival Kronos blaster. There were a few problems with the previous Kronos speed loaders I designed. As a result, I created some changes to make the assembly more refined and user-friendly. Problems and Solutions 1. The balls would fall out of the housings. To fix this, I added a pair of small dimples on the inner diameter to allow easy reloading, but keep the rounds from rolling out under vibrations. 2. The speed loader housings would slide around and at times, fall out of the rail bracket. As a result, the housings now have features that constrain it more while sitting in the brackets. 3. Although having a quad-rail was cool, it was rather annoying to use due to its bulkiness. Because of this, I created a double-rail instead that makes it easier to holster and handle the blaster. That being said, the quad-rail is still usable with either Rev1 or Rev2 of the speed loader design. 4. With some setups, 6-round speed loaders are needed. This is now available! Required Hardware ---------------------------------------------- - 1x Speed_Loader_Cap_Rev2.stl - 1x Speed_Loader_Slide_Rev2.stl - 1x Speed_Loader_Housing_Rev2.stl or 1x Speed_Loader_Housing_Rev2_6_Rnd.stl - 1x Speed_Loader_Housing_Rail_Mount_Single_Sided_Rev2.stl or Speed_Loader_Housing_Rail_Mount_Rev2.stl - 1x Kronos_speed_loader_part_1_v5_repaired.stl from here. You will be required to take your blaster apart in order to install this. If you are unfamiliar with this process, please refer to the video linked under the Assembly section. I highly recommend upgraded the blaster's spring as well! - Super glue (the gel kind works great) Recommended Print Settings ----------------------------------------------------- - Infill >= 20[%] - Use a skirt Assembly ------------------------------- 1. Insert "Speed_Loader_Slide_Rev2.stl" in to "Speed_Loader_Housing_Rev2.stl". 2. Use adhesive to glue "Speed_Loader_Cap_Rev2.stl" to the top of "Speed_Loader_Housing_Rev2.stl". 3. Disassemble your blaster and attach the new door by watching the following video. Reassemble when complete. 4. Insert the "Speed_Loader_Housing_Rail_Mount_Single_Sided_Rev2.stl" or "Speed_Loader_Housing_Rail_Mount_Rev2.stl" on to the blaster's picatinny rail and lastly, place the finished speed loader assemblies on to the rail mount. Special Thanks & Tip -------------------------------- - Designed in OnShape - Special thanks to Out of Darts for the disassembly and spring upgrade video! - Special thanks to user Zoenobium and his remix of my previous speed loader design for the inspiration behind this update. I am very passionate about the open-source community that provides a means for anyone to make, create, and remix amazing files across the web. It is truly amazing what additive manufacturing has accomplished by delivering a fast and affordable means to manufacture parts. Better yet, the bright and driven community behind the tech makes it even easier for those interested to get involved! Each of my designs are made free of capital but my own. If you found this particular project useful, please consider leaving me a tip (you don't have to, but if you insist, a small donation would be greatly appreciated!). This will go towards funding future projects like these, so I can continue to share my designs with the community!
