Sewing machine pulley_sailrite ultrafeed clones
Description
This is a larger drive pulley (2 times the standard size) for the sailrite ultrafeed and similar clone machines that are sold under various brand names (mine was called TuffSew) This drive pulley increases the torque and slows the machine down to a more manageable speed, it is such a common upgrade that sailrite has started selling their machines already equipped with this size of pulley. I chose to make my own design after seeing the price for their injection molded plastic pulley (+30$ !?) There are some things to note: I have been using it for a few hours now on tough fabrics with no issues but this design has not been time proven. I will post any relevant updates as time goes on but would appreciate if others did the same in the comments. You will need a new timing belt. Search for "180xl timing belt" that is 10mm or 3/8" wide , I got mine from ebay for ~4$ This design does not have a mounting point for a handle simply because I didn't think the material could withstand that style of loading and in my particular case was not needed The bore that this pulley mounts onto is ~20.5mm in diameter
