E3D part cooler (somewhat customizable)

E3D part cooler (somewhat customizable)

Description

I made a fan duct for E3D in OpenSCAD. All these shapes made in Blender or solidworks are not very malleable and always don't fit my 3d printer. By including the CAD model, in this an OpenSCAD file, you should have some freedom in making this thing fit on your 3D printer. In my case it's a MakerGear M2 with an E3D titan extruder. Anyway, hope this works for you. I suggest you print the whole thing with support and then simply break it into pieces - yes really - to be able to remove the support. After that you can use acetone or methyl ethyl keton to weld the parts back together and smoothen the path of the airflow. The airflow coming out of it is fairly reasonable. It could be better but I put two 12V fans in series on my 24V fan supply so I get enough flow anyway. I did not use solidworks or any program to simulate the airflow. It's probably good enough but feel free to screw around with the form functions in the .scad file.
