Wall Mount Spool Holder (Screws or Command Strips)
Description
NOTE: Print in orientation outlined in second photo otherwise this mount will likely split when holding a spool! It must be printed with support to allow the knee brace to print properly. I designed this in university and therefore I was renting an apartment and didn't have much space so I wanted to mount my spools to the wall. All the wall mount spool holders required screws and I couldn't poke holes in the wall so I designed this. It can be mounted to the wall with 2 screws or using a total of 4 pieces of command strip velcro (2 on the wall and 2 on the spool holder). It works without bearings, but if you want super smooth motion, 2 16mm bearings can be used! Specifically 625-ZZ bearings. They're held in with 2 5mmx10mm rods (Can be bought from printed solid or made), or 2 m5x10mm screws. Its designed to work with either button head or pan head screws! If you use command strips to hold these up make sure you put them on tightly. Since the spool holder lets the spool spin freely, simply mount this above the printer and feed the filament in to the printer! Hope you enjoy!
