Huhu (Māori Bullroarer)

Huhu (Māori Bullroarer)

Description

This is based on a Māori design of bullroarer used for ceremonial purposes. They are swung rapidly on a string to make a deep throbbing sound. Amongst other things, this was believed by some to be disliked by malevolent spirits. Obviously the originals were significantly more artistic, but this one can be given to children with instructions to apply the appropriate cultural motifs. laser cut from 4-5mm MDF or solid ply.
