Villarceau Circles from Torus
Description
Named after the French astronomer and mathematician Yvon Villarceau (1813–1883), Villarceau circles are a pair of circles produced by cutting a torus obliquely through the center at a special angle. This design can be printed either in two colors using a dual extrusion printer or in a single color. If printing in two colors combine the "torus" and "face" stl files in your slicing program. Otherwise, print the "circles half" stl file. To form a complete sliced torus print two copies of the half torus. If you like this piece please share a make of the printed object when complete. Enjoy!
