Rigid / Shopvac to 4" dryer vent adapter
Description
The attachment convert Rigid / Shopvac to 4" vent used by the dryer exhaust, so that I can blow the lint/debris out during vent cleaning. I use a 4" PVC cap(~$2) from Lowes/Home Depot and cut a hole with soldering iron, then drill 3 holes to mount it. There're 6 holes total on the adapter, but only 3 are really needed and the others are just for the backup. Before insert the adapter, I also put some silicone around the ring to seal it. My metal vent outlet is irregular shape, not a true circle, so I also put multiple layers of the duct tape inside the PVC cap, so that it provides a better seal, see the picture. The hole diameter was measured for my newer Rigid hose and was design as a tight fit. Each machine has a different tolerance and if that's too tight for yours, you'll just have to sand it down or enlarge in the slicer before your print. Shopvac hose should fit just fine, since it's diameter is smaller than the Rigid.
