Ruixin Pro Flat ground blade platform attachment for Clamp
Description
This is a Platform with magnetic base for the Ruixin Pro Sharpener system (Upgraded version with Clamp) that can be bought on AliExpress or Ebay. See link - https://www.aliexpress.com/item/32956547212.html Simply remove the clamp from its attachment then slip in & clamp the platform in its place Most knife sharpening clamps do not work well on a full flat grind knife (like Spyderco knives). This platform attachment makes it easier to sharpen full flat ground knives. Assembly: Print Up-side-down (as in the file). This gives a nice rough texture for the top of the platform on which your knife will lie. The 2 guides slide together to make a 3-point guide for your knife. This gives you the exact same position if you flip your blade over. Use a small M4 knurled hand nut and threaded brass melt-in insert for assembly, or even simply just a small M4 screw and nut if preferred. Have a look at my photos for reference. I use a M4 threaded brass melt-in inserts. The Magnet slot in the bottom of the table is for a Neodymium magnet size 50mm x 15mm x 5mm, and the other design is for 3 12mmx3mm round magnets.
