Tower of Hanoi (hex)

Tower of Hanoi (hex)

Description

So I'm looking at models and see that someone uses Tower of Hanoi puzzles as an early CAD assignment for a class So I think okay, I can practice some CAD and try to remember to dimension everything (I didn't) for editing later and so on. And for some reason, I had it in my head to do it with hexagonal pieces rather than circular. And as long as I was doing that, I went with a hexagonal/triangular base because radial symmetry or something. The base is a hair over 10cm at its widest point, and the poles are about 6 cm high. Each disk is 5mm high and there are nine of them. The biggest disk is 70mm across, and there are nine, in 5mm intervals. This makes each pentagon's point-to-point measure just a teeny bit bigger than the side-to-side measure of the next larger disk, which makes it visually harder to tell the rank order of the disks unless they're stacked and lined up. Spread out with the largest disks on separate poles, it should come in comfortably under 170mm at its widest. (I tried to do this in my head, so Rob Does Arithmetic. YMMV.)
